Legs are known to create significant aerodynamic drag, at high speeds, they create turbulence and air resistance. Aero socks are one of the most cost-effective ways to minimise this air resistance.

Similar to the surface of a golf ball, Aero socks use special fabric structures to maintain airflow around the legs for longer, reducing turbulent wake and aerodynamic drag.

The soles of Aero socks are made from Q-Skin® fibre that feels soft against the skin and provides a lasting feeling of freshness. Thanks to the breathable fabric, these socks offer excellent ventilation.

Product highlights:

  • in line with UCI rules
  • aerodynamic leg piece height of 19 cm
  • silicone stoppers directly on the fabric keep socks in place even in the rain
  • sole made of polyamide 6.6
  • breathable honeycomb weave over the foot and leg
  • made of stretch nylon with reinforced heels and toes
  • nylon padding for the ball of the foot

Big impact

Depending on the cyclist and the sock, Aero socks can give you a 12-15 W advantage over a standard cotton sock at a speed of 50 km/h. They already provide a smaller but nonetheless noticeable effect at 40 km/h.

Q-SKIN®

Q-SKIN® is a polyamide 6.6 fibre with silver ions directly inserted during the spinning process. These ions prevent bacterial growth and prevent unpleasant body odours. In combination with the technical fabric of the sock, silver ions look after the foot and its hygiene, ensuring a feeling of freshness and allowing the foot to breathe. The properties of this fibre also persist wash after wash.
The material is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Class 1 certified, proving the manufacturer’s commitment to human health.
