Reaktor Stanga Racing: a bold cycling kit that reflects the club behind it
Reaktor Stanga Racing is a Helsinki-based cycling club that has been active since 2014. What started with just two members has grown into a community of nearly 60 riders, with competitive cycling at the heart of the club and road and gravel as their most popular disciplines. Their bold fluorescent orange kit has become a recognisable part of their identity, supporting visibility and safety on the road while also bringing the team together.
We’re pleased to share the story of Reaktor Stanga Racing, from their club culture and distinctive kit to how they first came across moomoo. We hope you enjoy reading it.

Reaktor Stanga Racing has a strong identity in the Finnish cycling scene. Could you tell us where the club is based, how it all began, and how the team has grown over the years?
Reaktor Stanga Racing is a Helsinki-based club founded in 2014 as a continuation of Reaktor’s cycling hobby club, Stanga. A few of us wanted to try racing but didn’t feel like joining any existing clubs, so we decided to start our own. This allowed us to build the club’s culture from the ground up and shape it to reflect our values: openness, equality, and having fun while racing our lungs out.
We started with just two members, and today, in 2026, we are nearly 60. Some are more active in racing than others, but we have always been a community of like-minded people.
What role does competitive cycling play in your club and how important is community building to you? Which disciplines are most important to your members today?
This is what we were – and still are – built around. We recruit new members only if they actively race in at least one discipline. Especially in road racing, success requires a strong team to execute tactics effectively and create solid chances of winning.
At the same time, we’ve found that the best teams perform well when members know each other and trust that everyone is doing their very best to support the team’s ambitions. That’s why we invest a lot of effort in building team spirit.
We also aim to contribute to the Finnish racing community by bringing our approach to racing and by organizing events across different disciplines. Our latest addition is e-racing in Zwift, where we also have an active club.
Today, the most popular disciplines in our club are road and gravel. In addition, our members compete across a wide range of disciplines, including track, cyclocross, XCO, XCM, and enduro. We’ve been very successful across these, with several podium finishes and national titles to prove it.

Your club kit stands out straight away with its orange design. Was the orange colour and bold visual identity a clear choice from the very beginning?
Yes, one of the key advantages of having our own club was the freedom to create our own kit. We looked at the Finnish racing scene and deliberately chose a design that would stand out from the peloton. This makes it easy to spot your teammates at a glance, and of course, we also wanted to make a statement with a bold design.
The fluorescent pink-orange color is not just distinctive, it also serves as an important safety feature when training on the roads. That’s why our navy jackets and gilets feature a bright orange stripe across the back.

How important is a club kit to you in general: for visibility, team spirit, and practical use on the bike?
It’s very important for all of those reasons. Our team members are proud to wear the kit, and I’d say that 99% of the people who apply to race with us mention that we have “the best-looking kit in the Finnish peloton”.
The safety aspect was already mentioned earlier, but beyond that, we also want to ensure we always have access to the most advanced kits available, including the latest functionality and performance features. That’s why it has been great to be involved in developing the moomoo gravel suit, which we’re excited to receive soon 😊.
How did you first come across moomoo while looking for the kit partner? What matters most to you when choosing a kit partner and how we have met that expectation?
Some of our friends were racing at the Gravel World Championships, wearing the Finnish national kit made by moomoo. They gave excellent feedback on the garments, which sparked our interest.
The fit and materials need to be the best available. Secondly, the ability to accurately reproduce our design and colors is essential. And of course, communication needs to be easy, professional, and friendly. Other important factors include no minimum order quantities (as we are a small team), short production lead times, a broad product catalogue, and competitive pricing. Close proximity is also a big advantage. We can meet face to face, discuss our needs, and review new items and materials together.
Club kit orders can be complex to manage, especially when every rider has different needs. What has made the ordering process with moomoo convenient for your team?
You understand our team’s needs and design inside out. This allows you to make informed design decisions when needed, as you know the cuts and templates best.
One key factor is having no minimum order quantities. This allows each team member to order exactly what they need, without having to place bulk orders or add unnecessary items to team stock just to meet minimums.

Did you have any doubts or questions before starting the collaboration that needed to be clarified? How were those resolved?
There was really just one question: could you produce our somewhat tricky fluorescent orange? We managed to get it right quite easily by exchanging samples back and forth. In the end, it only took a couple of iterations to dial it in.
Finally, what values matter most to you as a club?
To make sure each team member feels supported in pursuing their individual goals and, of course, to ensure we are having fun while doing it.
Open mic!
Ride your bikes and remember, in the end, it’s only a hobby… although one you can’t live without 😃.
